NCMC students and community are invited to discuss Erika L. Sánchez's powerful novel I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter at our Banned Book Club event in honor of Banned Books Week. This coming-of-age story follows Julia, a sharp-witted teenager navigating family expectations, cultural identity, and her own dreams in the wake of her sister's sudden death.
